School Council

Each class elects four children to sit on the School Council, which meets regularly to discuss specific issues affecting the school. In the past year, the Council has debated which new playground furniture we should buy and the best way for us to decide on this. It organised a school-wide vote and compiled and communicated the results, under the guidance of the headteacher. It then liaised with the school office to organise the purchase of the sand pit and new bench.
The Council aims to encourage children to feel that their voice is valued and to understand the responsibility that comes with decision-making.
