ClassDojo and Tapestry

Online learning and communication

We understand that working in partnership with parents allows children to have the very best opportunities to develop and consolidate learning. The online systems we have set up allow positive communication between home and school about your child's learning. We are very excited to use Tapestry and ClassDojo to ensure you are kept up to date of the class learning.

Tapestry is used in our reception classes. It is an online learning journal, which records your child’s development. The class teacher will write observations, take photos and videos of your child at school to track their learning and to plan effectively for their next steps. Tapestry is an excellent platform for communication via home and school. Parents can add to the learning journal by uploading their home observations of their child. The learning journal builds a shared understanding of how your child can reach their full potential and to celebrate their achievements in the reception year.

Please find below our tapestry presentation to parents.

ClassDojo is used in Year 1 and 2 as a communication tool between home and school. The class teachers will use ClassDojo to inform you of the class learning, coming events and to celebrate achievements. Along with the school observations, parents can upload messages regarding their child’s learning achievements at home to give a complete a picture of their development.

Please find below our ClassDojo presentation to parents.

Tapestry and ClassDojo are both compliant with the GDPR standards. Parents must sign a consent form before using the online platforms. Consent forms are available from the school office. Photographs and videos must not be uploaded to any social media sites.

We use purple mash as a tool to support home learning as part of our contingency plan.
