Computing

As technology continues to play such an important role in everyday life, we promote the use of technology to support our learning of computer skills. Our Computing curriculum aims to develop children’s fundamental Computing and E-safety skills that lay the foundation for future technological understanding.

At Puttenham we teach computing through PurpleMash and Espresso. The children have regular access to our resources and iPads and the apps to support learning across the curriculum. They are taught discrete computing skills through engaging and practical lessons. We also strive to make cross-curricular links with our Computing Curriculum especially within story telling, art, mathematics, science and design technology. Children are taught about e-safety and what they can do to keep themselves safe from any potential dangers in an age appropriate way.
