Rabbit Class

Welcome to Rabbit class!

There are 26 pupils in Rabbit class. We are a mixed-year group class of Year 1 and EYFS children, 20 pupils are in Year 1 and 6 pupils are in Reception.

The class teacher is Mrs Harrington, who originally comes from the Czech Republic, and the teaching assistant is Mrs Mody.

We learn in a well-structured, secure and supportive environment where every child matters and is valued for who they are. Our learning underpins our school values – the value of Love, Wisdom, Resilience, Hope and Respect. All lessons follow the National Curriculum for KS1 and EYFS Foundation stage. They are designed in a creative and practical fashion with the emphasis on cross-curricular links. We nurture children’s interests and develop their creativity, imagination and thoughtful minds. Children are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions with others all the time. We enjoy learning in a spacious classroom with access to an outside area. We enjoy learning in Forest school.

We have Bouncy, the Rabbit, who goes home with a child every Friday. She is lucky enough to spend each weekend with a different pupil and his/her family. On Monday she comes back and we share her diary that children help her do at home.
